Even softer and in paper packaging – meet our new and improved nappies

Our award-winning nappies have given parents the option of skin-friendly, greener and affordable baby care, since we launched in 2020.  

And we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to constantly improve our eco-awesome nappies, making them even more planet-friendly and better for your baby’s skin. The result is our NEW and IMPROVED nappies!  

BYE BYE PLASTIC, HELLO PAPER  

Our new nappies are now wrapped in paper! The previous packaging was made with 100% recyclable PE plastic and could only be recycled with shopping bags at large supermarkets. 

 

Here’s three reasons why paper packaging is eco-awesome!   

  1. Sustainably sourced. Our paper packaging comes from a renewable resource – sustainably managed forests, which sequester carbon as they grow. 
  2. Easy to recycle. Just pop your empty packs in your paper recycling bin so they can be collected and recycled. It’s easy peasy! 
  3. Given a second life. Your pack will be recycled into new paper materials instead of discarded as waste.

 

GOOD THINGS COME IN PURA PACKAGING  

We’ve put a lot of thought into what goes into our nappies and what they’re wrapped in!  

Pura nappies new packaging is designed to: 

  • Protect your nappies from the elements 
  • Ensure nappies stay in top condition  
  • Provide all info you need for greener nappy changes 
  • Make your nappies easy to transport  
  • Be as eco-friendly as possible  

 

To make the most of your paper packaged nappies, follow these tips:  

  1. Nappies can be humidity sensitive. Keep your packs in a dry area.
  1. Dispose of your nappies in a bin, never flush them! See whether we’re recycling nappies in your area.
  1. Don’t forget to put your paper packaging in your recycle bin so it can be given a second life! 

 

SOFT ON BOTTIES 

Keeping your baby dry for up to 12 hours, our new nappies are enhanced with an organic cotton outer wrap, making the nappies super soft - and only plant-based materials touch your baby’s skin.  

 

WHERE CAN I GET THE NEW NAPPIES? 

They are currently available at Asda.com and will be available on mypura.com from May 2024.  

 

WHAT ELSE MAKES PURA NAPPIES GOOD FOR BABY AND PLANET? 

Where possible we have replaced non-renewable materials with alternatives from renewable sources, using plant-based materials wherever possible. 

Our nappies are produced in a carbon neutral plant, powered by 100% green electricity. The absorbent core is made from FSC certified natural wood fibres and other absorbent materials.
