Can baby wipes be vegan?
Published on
Today is World Vegan Day, an event designed to celebrate all things vegan.
Over the past few years, the vegan way of life is increasingly being more popular for ethical, health and environmental reasons.
Even people who don’t want to commit to full on veganism are trying out meat-free days, looking to swap leather for vegan clothing and shoes or buy vegan skin and baby care.
Why vegan?
The production of animal products takes a huge toll on our planet, requiring massive amounts of natural resources, like fresh water and land, and generating much pollution.
By cutting down on our consumption of animal products we help can stop the rapid depletion of Earth’s resources and help protect our planet for generations to come.
This is why we are so proud that our wipes have achieved vegan certification.
What’s a vegan trademark?
The Vegan Society created the term ‘vegan’ in 1944. The Vegan Trademark is used on labels worldwide as the authentic standard for products free from animal ingredients and animal testing.
There are currently more than 65,000 products registered worldwide with The Vegan Society’s Vegan Trademark, making it the international standard for authentic vegan products.
Vegan wipes you trust
Not a product you'd associate with animal based ingredients, you might not think that wipes would have to be classified as vegan. But there are lots of ways that animal-based derivatives can make their way into a product or its supply chain.
That's why the Vegan Trademark process and standards are super vigorous and this means you can have complete peace of mind that our ingredients, processes and supply chain have all been rigorously checked to ensure they are all truly plant-based and cruelty free. One less thing to worry about!
