How to have an eco-friendly Christmas countdown

Christmas wouldn’t quite be Christmas without advent calendars! They’re a fun way to countdown to the big day for tiny tots and adults alike.

The first advent calendars were made in the early 1900s in Germany and have today become part and parcel of the festive season worldwide.

While most children are content with finding pictures or chocolates hiding behind numbered doors, you can now get deluxe advent calendars stuffed with luxury cosmetics and even designer jewellery.

But here at Pura we’re always looking at ways to cut waste and help the planet, so we’ve designed our very own eco-advent countdown!

Follow us on Instagram and, each day in the lead up to Christmas, you’ll get a top tip from our spokesbabies on how to have an eco-friendly Christmas. Our virtual advent calendar is visible via Stories.

From planet-friendly gifts to the greenest Christmas candles, we have your eco-festivities all wrapped up!

We do hope your whole family enjoys our tips. Don’t forget to tag us in a post when you’ve made a Christmas eco-swap.
