We’ve dropped our prices. Find out why…

Published on

Good news for the planet and for your pocket. We’ve reduced the price of our plastic-free baby wipes by 10p to encourage more parents to join the fight against single-use plastics.

The price drop is inspired by the government’s recent announcement that it will double the fee for disposable plastic shopping bags in England to 10p from April 2021.

This is a fantastic step but - when it comes to wiping out single-use plastics - we want to make giant leaps! So, we thought, why wait until next April to do something?

Tell me more about the government’s plans

The initial 5p fee for plastic bags was introduced in all major supermarkets in England in 2015 and since then, it is reported that plastic bag usage has been cut by 86%.

According to the BCC, a whopping 7.6 billion bags were given away to customers at England's seven largest supermarkets in 2014. But between 2017 and 2018, just over a billion bags were sold at major supermarkets across the UK.

The new government initiative will be extended to smaller shops (employing 250 people or fewer) that were previously exempt. The government advises that shops should donate the cost of the bags to charity, but this isn’t compulsory.

How is Pura helping?

We’re acting now! Long before the government hikes up the price of disposable plastic bags in April, we’ve brought prices down on our plastic-free products!

From today, until April, we have reduced the price of our boxes of wipes by 10p. For each box sold, we will donate 10p to an environmental charity!

Why not join the fight against plastic pollution right now? Try out Pura’s plastic-free baby wipes and keep your family, and your planet, squeaky clean!
