“These are truly the softest and safest diapers on the planet. The organic cotton makes them pillowy soft and they’re so absorbent, they give overnight protection that really works.”

Flushable baby wipes

“I love these toddler wipes! A lot of wipes are not flushable so whether using them for a toddler or for yourself as a mom, being able to flush them as opposed to creating more trash mess, I think it’s a huge bonus.”

Diaper Pants

"I love that Pura has a sustainable option for older babies and toddlers. As Lou has started to work on potty training, I really enjoyed using the pants to be able to pull them up and down, especially for quick changes."

Momspiration...

Motherhood is incredible and life-changing, but nobody said it was easy. Rumer and Pura are on a mission to support all mommies and daddies on this crazy but wonderful journey. Take inspo from Rumer’s frank parenting stories and useful tips below.

You’ve clearly embraced Motherhood! Did you always want to be a Mom?

I’ve always wanted to be a mother. It is my biggest dream and my life’s purpose in a lot of ways. My daughter and any other children I have in the future are my greatest gift and passion and teachers in this life.

The bar is high for modern parents, especially when you’re in the public eye. How important is it to you to embrace imperfection rather than be perceived as a flawless mom?

I think there’s no such thing as being a flawless mom. There is no way to parent perfectly, no matter how much we prepare or try, and the best that we can do is show up honestly and dedicate ourselves to educating ourselves and be gentle, loving, and kind with our children and ourselves. It’s progress, not perfection.

Many parents don’t know that wipes and diapers can contain nasty toxins. Were you well-informed before becoming a parent?

“I was not well informed before becoming a parent, but in the first couple months of Louetta’s life, as I started to deep dive and do a little bit more research, I was shocked at the amount of chemicals and toxic ingredients that most diapers and wipes contain.”

Have you ever had any diaper disasters?

I have been very lucky - so far! Knock on wood, we haven’t had any diaper disasters. But the reason I switched over to Pura was because I was using a very well-known fancy diaper brand and kept having leakage issues at night!

What else do you do to embrace a more natural lifestyle and live more sustainably as a family?

I think it’s very important to be conscious of the food that you’re putting in your body as well as your children’s bodies, As well as any skin care, lotions, or creams, etc.

If you had to tell other first time Moms anything, what would it be?

The first piece of advice I always give to new Moms is don’t take anyone’s advice. And then the second thing I usually say is: “The best thing I could possibly encourage is to trust yourself. Trust your intuition - no one knows what your baby needs better than you. Not your mother, not your friends - no one!”
